Our technical support model (shown above) outlines the package of services that we offer. All our Technical Consultants have experience of working in the decorating or construction field so can offer accurate and expert help and advice. They can also recommend a tailored package of support to suit your requirements.

Technical Specification Consultancy
The Johnstone’s Technical Specification Consultancy understands that everyone and every project needs something different. Our team of consultants are on hand to recommend and provide tailored solutions for your projects. The team can:

Undertake site visits
Assess the existing condition of substrates
Determine the environment and location of surfaces
Identify areas needing repair prior to painting

Once all investigations have been carried out and customer requirements confirmed, our consultants will produce a bespoke paint specification document. Along with recommended Johnstone‘s products, the document will advise on preparation and application techniques.

NBS

If you use the NBS system to create your specifications, you will find the complete range of Johnstone’s products under section M60 Painting / Clear Finishing. Simply copy and paste your chosen products into your specification document.

However, if you would like assistance with your NBS specification, our Technical Specification Consultants can advise you or they can produce a written specification for you in NBS format.

Colours and colour schemes can be presented to you in a number of different formats, from a simple laminated sheet showing recommended colours to a detailed colour scheme document.

Our Colour Consultants are also fully conversant in The Building Regulations Approved Document Part M which provides guidance for public service providers who must consider access and usage provisions for the disabled, as highlighted in the Disability Discrimination Act. Our Colour Consultants can recommend suitable colour schemes for buildings that will be used by the partially sighted.
